Tenbury Wells

The fertile plains in the Teme Valley makes Tenbury Wells, often described as The Town in the Orchard, a haven for local produce particularly hops, fruit, holly and mistletoe.  The Tenbury Carnival takes place at the end of May, the Tenbury Countryside Show in August and there is the Appelfest in October celebrating the towns long association with apples, and of course the Mistletoe Festival in December where visitors come from afar to purchase the seasonal foliage.

There are many activities available in the area, there is of course the opportunity to catch fish on the River Teme with day fishing permits available.  There are also plenty of centres available for horse riding with many routes to choose from.  Walking and cycling is very popular in the area and there are leaflets available to find the perfect route for you.

If you are a classic car enthusiast the oldest motor-sport venue that is still in use, is right on your doorstep.  Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb was established over 100 years ago and still has competitive dates each season.
