New Brighton

Before the advent of foreign package holidays, New Brighton was one of the UK’s most popular destinations. In the early part of the 20th century, the New Brighton Tower (built 1898) was a landmark that could be seen for miles around and was actually, at 621ft, taller than Blackpool Tower. Nowadays, this attractive part of Wirral is now back on the tourist map with a fine selection of attractions and events, such as the Mersey Ferries, Floral Pavilion, New Palace amusement park, a wonderful coast (including Fort Perch Rock) and the annual New Brighton Egg Run!
