Knowsley
One of the boroughs of Merseyside, Knowsley has undergone something of a renaissance in recent years and has some of the best attractions in the country. At Knowsley Safari Park you can enjoy a five mile safari through 450 acres of historic parkland containing lions, rhino and the largest herd of African elephants in the UK. A little more relaxed and just as impressive is the National Wildflower Centre. This innovative centre invites visitors to learn about wildflowers in a family friendly place with nature at its heart. You can learn more about the area at the Prescot Museum which looks at the community and specialises in the clock and watch making industry.
