Hoylake
Once a major port, this residential resort has lovely beaches, a four mile promenade, the stunning Hilbre Island, where seals bask in the sand banks and Royal Liverpool Golf Course. Royal Liverpool is the second oldest seaside links course in England and will host the Open Championship in 2006.
