Higher Bebington
A delightful village on the Wirral peninsula, many of the industries that settled in the area became household names as well as the novel way that some of them housed their employees. Port Sunlight Village, which was built to accommodate employees of the Lever family, was the most famous of these but Bromborough Pool Village, built for the workers of Price's Candles, was probably the very first of its kind in the world. It features the superb Lady Lever Art Gallery.
