Oulton Broad

Boating on the Broad

Oulton Broad is one of the finest stretches of inland water in England and forms the southern gateway to the Broads National Park. It is a haven for watersports enthusiasts and is perfect for sailing, rowing or taking a relaxing cruise along the peaceful broads. Oulton Broad is the perfect base for a holiday, whether you arrive by car or by boat! The picturesque Nicholas Everitt Park lies beside the yacht station and includes a children’s playground, licensed restaurant, leisure facilities and a bandstand. Many events are held at the park throughout the summer months, with powerboat racing on every Thursday evening between April and September.

Just a few minutes walk from the park you will stumble upon a selection of charming gift shops, restaurants and public houses.

Nearby Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve is home to many species of wildlife including kingfishers, barn owls, grass snakes and many more.

Whether its wildlife, history or just pure relaxation you’re looking for, Oulton Broad is an ideal destination to begin your tour of The Sunrise Coast.
