Haverhill

Sitting beside an old Roman road, Haverhill´s market dates from 1222.  Fire destroyed much of the town´s older buildings in 1665, although Anne of Cleves´ House - reputedly built by Henry VIII in 1540, as his marriage settlement to her - has been restored. Good examples of Victorian architecture. Market day is on Friday and Saturday.
