Holt
The North Norfolk steam railway connects Holt with the seaside resort of Sheringham. The terminus is just a short walk from the renowned Gresham public school.
The quaint lanes and yards that house the bookshops, galleries, antique and bric-a-brac shops create a bustling example of the ideal town. At Christmas all the shops and buildings are draped with lights, which create a truly festive atmosphere.

On the edge of town lies Holt Country Park, an area of more than 100 acres of woodland. With car parking, a picnic area, nature trails and an adventure playground, it’s a perfect spot for families wanting a quiet outing.
The village of Letheringsett, a mile west of Holt has an early 19th-century watermill which still stone-grinds corn in the original way. The idyllic countryside around Holt and the Glaven valley has so much to offer. This area is perfect for exploring on foot or by bicycle.
