Harpenden
From agricultural origins, Harpenden has developed into an attractive small town. Designated a conservation area, the tree-lined High Street has many listed 17th and 18th century buildings, interesting shops and a variety of pubs and restaurants. The town boasts many fine open spaces, such as Rothamsted Park and the Common with its ponds and nature trail.
