The Gallops

The town is famous as the Headquarters and home of British racing and, today, there are over 2,500 horses in training within its boundaries. Some of the country´s most important studs can be found around Newmarket, the most famous of which is the National Stud. 

Newmarket is a thriving town with excellent shopping facilities, free parking and a wide range of superb accommodation for those wishing to stay overnight. Why not take the opportunity of visiting the nearby historic towns and cities of Cambridge, Ely, Bury St Edmunds, Mildenhall and Brandon and prolong your stay in this beautiful part of the East of England.

A market is held on Tuesday and Saturday.
