Northampton
Northampton – England`s largest town is a vibrant energetic place by day and by night. Once famous around the world as England`s `shoe town`, it is now beginning to be known as `motor city` with Silverstone Circuit, Santa Pod and Rockingham speedways close-by.
At Northampton`s hub is the historic Market Square. Over 750 years old it remains one of the largest open-air markets in the country. Casino, clubs, pubs and restaurants are popular with out-of-town revellers at weekends, and the town also boasts two superb theatres. For sports enthusiasts there`s premier league rugby with `The Saints`, football at Sixfields and county cricket.
