Christmas of course also brings and exciting programme of performances to the city with The Nutcracker performed by the Birmingham Royal Ballet and Sleeping Beauty, this years panto at the Birmingham Hippodrome.
The Birmingham REP will delight audiences with the Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol and the ever popular Snow Man productions, whilst the Town Hall will host The Gruffalo, a musical adaptation of the award-winning picture book. In addition we’ve a busy programme of concerts at the city’s many live music venues.
What's new
Following its recent makeover, Aston Hall (www.bmag.org.uk/aston-hall) will once again open for Aston Hall By Candlelight from 3 – 12 December 2009, a chance to see Aston Hall at it’s most breathtaking. Beautifully lit by over 300 candles and warmed by two glorious historic fireplaces.
