Play golf at Stoke Park Club

Morning calls for a well earned round of golf at Stoke Park's stunning 100-year-old course designed by Harry Shapland Colt. As well as featuring in Goldfinger, the course (known as Stoke Poges), has also featured in the Golf World ‘Top 100 Courses in the World'.

In 1909, Golf Illustrated said of the course, "If there were no palatial mansion and no beautiful gardens and grounds, the course itself would take a great deal of beating anywhere within thirty miles of London." And today it continues to maintain exceptionally high quality greens and attract enthusiasts from around the world. James Bond being just one of them.

Visit Beaulieu

New Forest
Now comes a scenic 2-hour drive southwest to England's newest National Park, New Forest. Famous for its New Forest Ponies that walk freely around the park, the New Forest is a beautiful patchwork of heath and forest with plenty of sights and attractions to explore.

Buckler's Hard in the New Forest

In the heart of the New Forest, you'll find the sleepy village of Beaulieu. It's hard to believe this serene and peaceful place was once the headquarters of the British Secret Service. During the cold war, MI6 set up base here training over 3,000 agents of the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) in their secret 'finishing school'. Today, you can visit the Secret Army Exhibition (www.beaulieu.co.uk/lotstosee-secret-army.cfm) in Beaulieu to learn more about its fascinating history.

Beaulieu has another treat for Bond fans, the James Bond Experience (www.beaulieu.co.uk/lotstosee-james-bond-experience.cfm) exhibition at the National Motor Museum. The exhibition displays genuine James Bond vehicles and artefacts that you'll recognise from many of the films. The Aston Martin Volante used in The Living Daylights, the Ford Mondeo used in Casino Royal and the shooting script from the making of Thunderball are just a few of the things you'll see.

Spend the evening in Poole

Continue travelling southwest to Poole on the South Coast of England (about 30 minutes from the New Forest). This is where you'll spend the evening. Exactly where is up to you, but for an experience that really lives up to the Bond lifestyle, you could charter your own yacht with Sunseeker (www.sunseeker.com/).

Enjoying a night out in Poole

Just imagine, dinner and an exciting night out in the town known as the 'St Tropez' of the South Coast, followed by drinks aboard your own yacht and then drifting off to sleep as you're gently rocked by movements of the sea. If that's not living the Bond lifestyle, we don't know what is.

As for the next day. That's up to you really. It's your yacht - although you may want to arrange for the car to be picked up if you're planning on sailing around Britain!
