James Bond extreme activities
Fear exists for a reason. It exists to keep you alive. It alerts the senses, releases adrenaline and prepares you for that critical decision - fight or flight?
What you gonna do?
You might think real men don't run, but sometimes it's just necessary to get the hell out of there! And no one knows that better than Bond. God knows, we've seen this man escape mid-air from a jeep plummeting towards the sea after going over a cliff to land on a boat!
Want a piece of the action? You better get in some practice then.
Land escape
They say, learn to walk before you run. In the secret agent world they say, learn to reverse wheel spin before you drive off cliffs. While you should be ready for any terrain, we recommend you get started on a surface specifically designed for speed and manoeuvrability. Where better than the home of the British Grand Prix itself, Silverstone race track?
Silverstone has a huge range of race cars available so make sure you choose something Bond would approve of. Just imagine; 400bhp at your disposal. Engines like these are capable of propelling you from 0-60mph in little over 4 seconds. That should get you out of there quick enough! See driving experiences (www.silverstone.co.uk/php/de_overview.html).
Water escape
We've seen Bond jump a boat over a piece of dry land, hit the water on the other side and escape from the chasing authorities. We don't suggest you attempt this particular stunt, and it's not a good idea to try to outrun the authorities in England either. But what you can do is relive a 007 speedboat chase down the River Thames in London.
Hold on tight as you hurtle down the Thames in a speedboat powered by twin Johnson 225 4 stroke engines with London Voyagers (www.londonribvoyages.com/). Experience stomach-turning high-speed manoeuvres past London's top sights including Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, the Tower of London and James Bond's base - impenetrable MI6 building.
Air escape
For something a bit different (probably not for Bond though) take a hot air balloon ride over some of Britain's most beautiful countryside and most iconic landmarks. Although this isn't what we might call a 'high-speed' getaway, it is certainly a 'high-thrill' getaway and a truly magical experience to enjoy. You can even charter you own flight from various destinations throughout England for yourself, a group or your special love interest. See hot air ballooning.
