Ian Poulter is one of England’s most outstanding golf talents. Currently ranked number 23 in the world after recently coming runner up in The Open Championship he plays on both the European and US Tours.

Woburn Marquess Course 1. Woburn  (Marquess Course)
The newest of the three championship courses at Woburn, and the jewel in the crown at over 7,200 yards. The course is cut through woodland of predominantly pine, spruce, sweet chestnut and oak.

2. Wentworth (West Course)
The most famous course of three at Wentworth and one of the Tour players’ favourite courses to play on. Wentworth Club offers wonderful hospitality and is home to the European Tour and the PGA Championship.

3. The Grove
Scene of Tiger’s victory in the 2006 World Golf Championships, a modern stadium course sculpted by designer Kyle Phillips close to London in the grounds of one of the region’s most exclusive five star hotels.

The Open at Royal Birkdale

4. Royal Birkdale
Host of the 2008 Open Championship and one of the most loved links courses in the country. Close to Liverpool and the scene of some of the most exciting moments in professional golf.

The Belfry 6. The Belfry
The venue for a number of Ryder Cup tournaments and in the grounds of the The Quinn Belfry Hotel. The approach to the 18th on the Brabazon Course remains one of the most exciting in golf.

7. Woodhall Spa
Home to the English Golf Union and the training ground for so many of England’s finest players. One of England’s best inland heathland courses.

Royal Lytham and St Annes

8. Royal Lytham & St Annes
Arguably the toughest Open course on the circuit and part of England’s stretch of championship links courses in the North West. Royal Lytham & St Annes is steeped in history.

Woburn Duke's Course 9. Woburn (Dukes Course)
The original Woburn course, cut through pine forest and fairways lined with rhododendrons, this is one of England’s most picturesque and tranquil courses. Host for many years to the British Masters and now the Senior Masters.
