2. RSC in NewcastleGateshead - Theatre Royal, NewcastleGateshead
3-8 September
The Royal Shakespeare Company has, since 1977, been making an annual visit to Newcastle for an extended season of its Stratford repertoire. Shared between the Theatre Royal and the newly-renamed Northern Stage (once the Newcastle Playhouse), the company celebrates the 30th anniversary including Macbeth and The Penelopiad.
