There's nothing quite like Skandia Cowes Week; the oldest and largest annual sailing regatta in the World. The event boasts an 8-day schedule combining competitive racing and great fun for the 8,500 competitors racing and 100,000 spectators who enjoy a fantastic line up of shore-side entertainment day and night. There’s a free scheme for beginners run by title sponsor Skandia in association with the UKSA called 'Try Sailing' which is based on Cowes Parade. Sign-up and get on the water for an hour with a professional skipper. Bookings for the spectator boat service will be possible from the official event website from June onwards – you can get close to the action on one of these hour-long sessions!
