It later served as a police station and courthouse. Access to original 19thC cell and a re-created underground dungeon. Many displays of local interest including Kett's Rebellion, the Market Cross, brushmaking, farming and a 1930s shop. Also exhibits on prehistory, Roman, Saxon, medieval times, the Victorians and the world wars. Some displays changed annually. Audios about brushmaking and prison life. DVD film presentations on the town, Kett's Rebellions and the Bridewell. There are quiz sheets for children, a courtyard garden and a gift shop. New displays every year.
