Sandwell Valley Country Park is an area of 1700 acres of open countryside and is unique as it is located within a densely populated and industrialised area. The park has woodlands, nature trails and picnic sites, lakes and pools. Facilities also include fishing, golf, crazy golf, football, tennis, Sandwell Park farm, Forge Mill farm, Swan pool, Forge Mill lake and paddling pools. The park also plays host to a wide range of popular events throughout the year from the August Bank Holiday community show, fireworks display, fun fairs, dog shows to an historic vehicle parade in May.
