We are currently restoring a 100-year-old Norfolk and Suffolk-type lifeboat, James Stevens no 14, which is the oldest surviving motorised lifeboat in the world. She was in service at Walton from 1900-1928 and pictures of the restoration work are on display are at the museum. The boat can be inspected at Titchmarsh Marina, Coles Lane, Walton-on-the-Naze.
