Wakefield Art Gallery has something for everyone, in an attractive garden just a short walk from the city centre. There is an outstanding collection of art by some of Britain's leading artists, including Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth. Both Moore and Hepworth were born within a few miles of the art gallery and the gallery collection includes some of their most significant sculptures, drawings and paintings. Alongside modern British Art you will also find more traditional, earlier works, including historical views of the district and the Yorkshire region.
