An award-winning museum. Music and sound bring to life displays which reflect the heritage of the famous school, its place in the history of the rugby football and the lives of its more notable pupils.
Rugby School, founded in 1567 is the birthplace of Rugby football. 'Tom Brown's Schooldays' describes the school in the days of the famous head master Dr Arnold. Rupert Brooke, Lewis Carroll, Matthew Arnold, Neville Chamberlain, 'Plum' Warner, England cricket captain, the first president of the RFU and the captain of the first English International Rugby side are some of the old boys educated at Rugby.
