Castle Hill and Victoria Tower

Castle Hill is a scheduled ancient monument offering panoramic views from a former iron age hill fort and medieval settlement.
Victoria Tower was built in 1899 to commemorate the 60 year reign of Queen Victoria. The tower is open to the public on Easter and May Day weekends, then every weekend until The Heritage Open Days in September. Opening hours 1230-1630. The Tower is open each Bank Holiday Monday from Easter to August. Opening hours 1230-1630. 165 steps to open air viewing area.
Visitors are strongly advised not to fly kites due to the unpredictable winds and power lines situated around the hill.
