The five acre gardens are at 1000' on a north facing slope constructed entirely by the owner for ease of maintenance, as he is idle by nature, more given to looking than doing. The gardens are well known for their sculpture, meconopsis, azaleas, rhodedendrons and summer borders together with a collection of things planted into open grassland. The gardens have been featured on 'Gardener's World' and Radio 4's 'Open Country'.
