One of only two new Anglican cathedrals built on new sites in this country since the Middle Ages, Guildford Cathedral's foundation stone was laid in 1936 and the Cathedral consecrated in 1961. Especially notable is the sandstone interior and marble floors. Facilities include a restaurant and shops.
