Our model village depicts Godshill and Shanklin Old Villages as they were in yesteryear. Opened in 1952 the 1/10 scale models are set in the 1.5-acre garden of the Old Vicarage. You can walk amongst the realistic model houses (many with authentically thatched roofs), trains, balloons, an airship, with little people going about their Island lives in miniature. With over 2,000 conifers and shrubs treated with coarse bonsai, our trees provide a perfect 'in scale' setting for our models. An inspiration for gardeners of all ages and abilities! New for 2007 - more miniature gardens and on-site catering facility.
