The Lace Centre is housed in a lovely medieval 14th Century building at the foot of Nottingham Castle. All types of lace are available from modern Raschel and Furnishing Lace to the world famous Leavers Lace. The Leavers machine was invented in 1813 by a local framesmith John Leavers and produced an exquisite lace very similar in construction to hand made pillow lace.
We sell a wide range of lace products including napery, lace trim, tablecloths and personal gifts. Lace demonstrations take place every Thursday from Easter to October. Do come and see us - you wont be disappointed!
