Eastbridge Hospital

Originally founded c1190 for poor pilgrims visiting Becket's shrine. Now an almshouse with refectory and 12thC undercroft. The Chantry Chapel may be viewed and the Pilgrim's Chapel, which has a scissor beam roof dating from 1285, is available for prayer. The Refectory has a late 12th or 13thC fresco in tempera.
