Situated in a dramatic cliff-top position, forming the gateway to the Flamborough Heritage Coast, Sewerby Hall and Gardens, set in 50 acres of early 19th century parkland, enjoys spectacular views over Bridlington Bay.
The hall contains the magnificent orangery, the history of East Yorkshire permanent display, art and craft galleries and a souvenir and gift shop. The award winning gardens are amongst the best in the region and include pleasure gardens, walled gardens, pitch and putt gold course, putting green, small childrens zoo (penguins are fed at 15:00), craft units and fully refurbished tea rooms. Major events for 2008 include Medieval Jousting, American Civil War weekend, Roman re-enactment weekend, Cancer Research "race for life" as well as many other band concerts, piano recitals and craft fairs and for the children there is the fun Parkland kids experience. Sewerby Hall and Gardens is also Visitor Assured Quality Attraction (VAQAS) accredited site.
Estate open all year round dawn til dusk.
Car park open/closed according to seasonal daylight hours. Overflow carpark is available for selected special events. This car park has 500 yards through Sewerby village adjacent to Bonville Model Village and directly opposite Sewerby Grange Hotel. A bus stop is located outside the park entrance and a bicycle rack is available at the main entrance. Hall/tea rooms/golf course open daily Easter to end of October.
Dogs accepted on a leash but not allowed in the hall or the zoo.
Pushchairs allowed in the gardens and the zoo but not the hall.
Any special requirments such as large print or information in German and French available.
