This former water bailiff's cottage lies at the heart of the owner's farm in a stunning location in Upper Cooquetdale. It has been transformed with style and imagination into a wonderfully spacious holiday home full of light and colour. On cooler days the cottage, with its full central heating and wood burning stove, becomes a warm and cosy base for an off-season or winter visit.
The cottage has superb views to the South towards the Simonside Hills and to the East over the Rothbury Hills. Its more intimate views are over the meandering Wreigh Burn. The land alongside is recognised as being an area of Special Scientific Interest and is home to a host of birdlife as well as otters, badgers and foxes. There are trout in the burn and a good run of salmon twice a year. Visitors are welcome to explore this area.
