The old Bakehouse holiday accommodation has 4 cottages situated in a conservation area of Dartmouth, at Broadstone and Clarence Hill (5 years winner of Dartmouth in Bloom Locality Award). The cottages are a 2-minute walk from the riverfront, Royal Avenue Gardens or Coronation Park, with tennis courts and children’s park and are convenient for the town centre shops, restaurants and the Royal Naval College.

The Old Bakehouse building is very old. A map of 1619 shows the road in front of the house as Bakehouse Hill, later it was called Bake Hill and now Broadstone. The Old bread ovens can be seen on request. Extensive work has been carried out on the cottages exposing beams and old fireplaces.

Each cottage has free car parking in the town car park for one car (Granary garage). Free bed linen. Extra cots and folding beds available on request. Colour TV/video. A kitchen with full size cooker, microwave and fridge freezer. Heating by storage heaters not on meter. Electricity not on meter. Dogs welcome - no charge.

The Old Bakehouse Cottage has a charming living room and kitchen diner both with beams and old stone fireplaces and TV/video. Stairs to one bedroom with 2, 3ft. single beds and one 2ft 6 bed, second bedroom with 2, 3ft single beds. Bathroom with bath and walk in shower.

Millers Cottage has a living room with beams and old stone fireplace TV and video. Kitchenette. Stairs to double bedroom with four-poster bed. Bathroom with bath and shower over the bath. Second flight of stairs (not suitable for very young or elderly) leads to 1 bedroom with 2, 3ft beds and one bedroom with a 3ft bed and a 2ft 6 bed. A delightful cottage for a family or couple.

The Granary has kitchen/diner. Living room with beams and old stone fireplace, and some antiques, TV and video. The bedroom has beams, a double half tester bed and window seat. A shower with washbasin and toilet.

Bake Hill Cottage has stairs to living room and kitchen/diner and a second flight of stairs to 1 bedroom with double bed and second bedroom with 2 3 ft beds. Shower room with washbasin and toilet on ground floor. This cottage has small quaint shaped rooms, is light and sunny.
