The former Blacksmith Shop has recently been converted into a three bedroom cottage which sleeps six but maintaining features such as the old forge in lounge.
Horncliffe is a quiet village on the border with no through traffic, the River Tweed is just a short walk over the bank.
The cottage is well located for visiting towns in the Scottish Borders, North Northumberland or the coast where Lindisfarne and Bamburgh Castle may be found.
The village is five miles away from the market town of Berwick Upon Tweed famous for its walls and which are steeped in history. It is situated half way between Edinburgh and Newcastle which are easily accessible by train.
The Cheviot Hills are only twelve miles away and offer some of the most spectacular walking in England. Nearby there are many excellent walks on the River Tweed or in the countryside.
The former Blacksmiths Shop is now a spacious lounge with restored forge. Television and DVD player. Patio doors lead onto the paved patio which has a barbeque area.
The downstairs shower room is suitable for wheelchair access and is adjacent to the twin bedroom.
All bedding and towels are supplied. A cot will be supplied on request. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. All central heating and electricity included. Disabled access. No smoking. The fully equipped kitchen has frideg/freezer, microwave, cooker and washing machine.
The first floor main bedroom has views over the Cheviots and has its own bathroom.
