Kirkstone is a tastefully converted chapel in the heart of Teesdale. Ground floor bedroom with en suite shower, toilet and sink, a conservatory to relax and have breakfast in. Raby Castle is probably one of the best examples of its kind in the country. There are several reservoirs in the area; the furthest away is Cow Green about 12 miles. Most have day fishing permit subject to having a fishing licence. Way marked walks are in abundance all over the area with several quaint old-fashioned public houses offering good quality food conveniently situated after a thirsty stroll. For those wanting a longer journey the Lake District is only 1 hour’s drive away. For those who like a touch of retail therapy the MetroCentre, Europe's largest retail complex is only 50 minutes drive away along the A1(M) motorway.
